  1. Applying the registered DOOM patch:

  3. *NOTE: THIS PATCH ONLY WORKS WITH REGISTERED DOOM VERSION 1.666. IT WILL
  4. NOT WORK WITH ANY OTHER VERSION.
  5.  
  6. 1. Erase the current registered DOOM directory completely and start 
  7. with a clean install of registered DOOM 1.666. This will make sure
  8. there are no problems patching due to modified wad files or a modified 
  9. DOOM.EXE. 
  10.     
  11. 2. Unzip the file "PATCH.ZIP" into the DOOM directory.
  12.  
  13. 3. Change to the registered DOOM directory (if you are not already there).
  14.  
  15. 4. Type "PATCH"
  16.  
  17. 5. After the patch is complete the message "Batch file missing" will
  18. appear. Ignore it.
